Flock Centring

Flock centring makes a boid want to be near the centre of the flock. In terms of an individual boid, the centre of the flock is based on its relative position to its neighbours. It therefore actually means the centre of its nearby flockmates. If the boid has neighbours on all sides, its flock centring urge is small. However, if all of its neighbours are to one side of it, then it has a greater urge to get to the centre of the flock, and so attempts to steer towards them.
